EIS "HeadsUp!"

Dear EIS Community,

As the first month of the new academic year comes to a close, we want to take a moment to look back on a busy and joyful September and thank our entire school community for such a warm start.

This year is a special one, as Exupery International School celebrates its 10th anniversary. It has been a pleasure to welcome back our returning families, greet new faces and begin this milestone year together. Enjoy the video!

What Does It Feel Like to Begin a New Year Together?

If you were with us on August 28th, you already know the answer! Our Family Picnic was the perfect way to open the school year and to celebrate a milestone close to all our hearts - 10 years of Exupery International School
Ten years of growing, learning, and belonging, and there was no better way to mark it than surrounded by the very people who make EIS what it is.
Students reuniting after summer, parents chatting like old friends, teachers welcoming everyone back with open arms. A decade in, and that warmth is stronger than ever.
And you know what? That's exactly the spirit we carry into every new school year at EIS — together. Here's to the next ten years!

EIS Boarding Dinner

Our traditional Boarding Dinner brought together all our boarding students for an evening of conversation, laughter and getting to know one another better.
A special moment to welcome new students, reconnect with friends, and celebrate the beginning of another year together.

Substance-Use Prevention: An Expert Talk by Eduardo Torres

We were pleased to host Eduardo Torres, Founder of Pathways for Prevention, at our school once again this year. He shares highly relevant and important insights with our students, while also leading dedicated sessions for parents and staff to strengthen our community’s understanding of substance-use prevention, critical thinking, and informed decision-making.

Spirit Week at EIS!

Our Primary Student Council brought the fun this September, and our students showed up with energy every single day:

Monday — Pajama Day
Tuesday — Different Shoe Day
Wednesday — Exupery Colors Day
Thursday — Crazy Hair Day
Friday — Students Dress Like Teachers

A whole week of creativity, laughter, and community spirit! This is what makes EIS special.

Exupery Football Teams Shine At LISSA

Huge congratulations to our football teams!
This weekend, our Middle School team took 1st place and became tournament champions, while our Primary School team fought hard for a well-earned 2nd place.
The whole school celebrated together and we couldn't be prouder of every player on both teams. Your dedication, teamwork, and spirit are what make our school community so special.
We can't wait to see what's next!
Science you can hold in your hands!
Our Grade 9 IGCSE Biology students designed and built their own models of the human lungs and gas exchange system.
Working in pairs, they planned their designs, built the models from scratch, and presented them to classmates.
Each group explained how oxygen moves from the alveoli into the blood and carbon dioxide moves out, and why alveoli are so good at gas exchange.
The goal was for students to explain the science in their own words, using their model instead of their notes, and to answer questions from their classmates on the spot.
Could you do it?
Show and Tell: Building Confidence and Communication Skills in Preschool
One of our favourite preschool traditions! Our K1 and K3 learners, aged 3–5, brought a favourite toy from home and proudly shared it with their groupmates and teachers.
It may look like a simple activity, but it helps children practise so many important skills:

Communication: speaking clearly and telling a story about something meaningful to them
English in real life: a genuine reason to use English, build vocabulary and gain confidence
Curiosity: asking friends questions and showing interest in their stories
Active listening: waiting for their turn and remembering what a friend has shared
Confidence: getting more comfortable speaking in front of a group
Social skills: taking turns, respecting different interests and celebrating each other's ideas

For our youngest learners, every little presentation is a big step towards becoming a confident communicator!

And the best part? They learn all of this while sharing something they love.
How to Survive the IB Extended Essay
On 22 September, our Grade 12 students presented their Extended Essays to Grade 10 and 11 students, sharing how they chose their research questions, their methodology, their process, and their findings — along with honest tips on how to survive the Extended Essay journey.
This event helped our Grade 12s prepare for their upcoming Viva Voce: a 20-minute discussion with their teachers about their methodology and findings — while giving Grade 10 and 11 students a glimpse of what lies ahead.
